• UCHL1 is a member of family of proteins that hydrolyze small C-terminal adducts of ubiquitin to generate the ubiquitin monomer.
• The expression of UCHL1 is highly specific to neurons and to cell of the diffuse neuroendocrine system and their tumors.
• UCHL1 exhibits both and hydrolase and a ligase activity.
• The S18Y variant of UCHL1, that has reduced ligase activity, has been linked to susceptibility for Parkinson's disease.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
