CD278, also known as Inducible T cell costimulator or ICOS, is a CD28-superfamily costimulatory molecule.
It is expressed on activated T cells and resting memory T cells.
It enhances all the basic T cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines and up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction.
It is essential for the efficient interaction between B and T cells and is involved in antibody responses to T cell dependent antigens.
It up-regulates the synthesis of interleukin-10, but not interleukin-2 and prevents the apoptosis of pre-activated T cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:32,000Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3.75ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
