Granzyme A is a member of the granzyme family of the serine proteases found specifically in the cytotoxic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells.
Granzyme A is the most abundant protease in CTL and NK cells.
It induces caspase-independent cell death when introduced into target cells by perforin.
Human granzyme A is synthesized as a 262aa precursor with a signal peptide aa1-6, a propeptide aa27-28 and a mature chain aa29-262.
After being activated by lysyl endopeptidase removal of the propeptide, Granzyme A cleaves thioester substrates.
Mature human granzyme A shares 71% aa sequence identity with mouse granzyme A.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
