Fragile X Mental Retardation Protein (FMRP) is an RNA-Binding protein that is associated to polysomes and may be involved in the transpot of mRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.
Defects in FMR1 are the cause of Fragile X syndrome, which is a common genetic disease characterized by moderate to severe mental retardation, macroorchidism, large ears, prominent jaw, and high-pitched, jocular speech.
The defect in most fragile X syndrome patients results from an amplication of a CGG repeat regions with is directly in front of the coding region.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.

Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
