• Slit proteins are ligands at the Roundabout (Robo) receptors and act as guidance cues in axonal migration/navigation during neural development, at the ventral midline of the neural tube.
• Slit1 and Slit2 are essential for midline guidance in the forebrain by acting as repulsive signals preventing inappropriate midline crossing by axons projecting from the olfactory bulb.
• Alternative splicing isoforms have been identified for Slit1 protein.
• Slit1 is predominantly expressed in adult forebrain, though also expressed in fetal brain, lung and kidney.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 5ug/ml.
• Heat induced antigen retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is required Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
