• OGR1, a Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid Receptor, was isolated by degenerate PCR from an ovarian cell line cDNA library.
• It is not expressed in normal ovary.
• OGR1 binds sphingosylphosporylcholine, a lipid molecule involved in cell growth and survival.
• Recently, OGR1 has been shown to act as a proton-sensing receptor stimulating inositol phosphate formation (Ludwig et al.
• 2003).
• OGR1 has been reported to be expressed in blood, brain, heart, kidney, lung, placenta, small intestine, spleen, and testis.
• ESTs have been isolated from blood, lung, and uterine libraries.
• Caution: OGR1 is also known as GPR12A, which is distinct from GPR12 in cluster 3851.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
