Ghrelin is the ligand for growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 (GHSR).
It induces the release of growth hormone from the pituitary and involved in growth regulation.
This protein has an appetite-stimulating effect, induces adiposity and stimulates gastric acid secretion.
Ghrelin plays a significant role in neurotrophy, particularly in the hippocampus, and is essential for cognitive adaptation to changing environments and the process of learning.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:8000Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
