The calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) is an integral membrane protein that is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family.
It senses changes in the extracellular concentration of calcium ions.
The activity of this receptor is mediated by a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
Most cell lines do not express endogenous Ca++ sensing receptor.
Studies have been done with HEK-293 or MDCK cells stabily or transiently expressed lysates.
This protein is also found in native tissues.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
