Alpha-1 lipoproteins are completely different from beta-lipoproteins.
In fresh serum only one alpha-1 lipoprotein exists immunologically, but after centrifugation, storage, freezing and thawing two types of alpha-1 lipoprotein with difference in mobility and antigenic properties have been observed.
Alpha-1 lipoprotein in fresh serum is usually precipitated by the specific antiserum as a rather symmetric arc in the albumin zone.
Concentration in normal human serum is 170-320mg/100ml.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Double Radial Immunodiffusion and Immunoelectrophoresis.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
