Alpha-lactalbumin is one of the major proteins in the alpha region after immunoelectrophoresis of human milk.
It has been implicated as a component of the enzyme lactose synthetase which catalyzes the formation of lactose from uridine diphosphate galactose and glucose.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Biotin/IgG protein molar ratio (B/P): ~3.9
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
