C5 component of human complement is a plasma protein consisting of two polypeptide chains, a, b, bound by disulphide bonds.
It has a molecular weight of 190kD.
The activated protein forms with the complement factors C6-C9 the membrane attack complex.
The average concentration in plasma is about 70ug/ml.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immunoelectrophoresis and Double Radial Immunodiffusion.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunoelectrophoresis: 2ul or equivalent against 120ul anti-serum .
Double Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony): 10ul Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
仕様
Size:1ml
Host:goat
Source Antibody:human
Grade:Serum
Purity:Serum
Form:Supplied as a lyophilized powder. No preservatives added. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
Specificity:Recognizes human C5. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against fresh normal human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified C5 protein. No reaction is obtained with any other plasma protein component or serum.
