Cell-bound C3b may undergo limited proteolysis to release the fragment C3c and retain C3d on the membrane.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Single and Double Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony).
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul human plasma or equivalent Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul plasma samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells.
Single Radial Immunodiffusion: use 1% antiserum in the gelOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity：Recognizes human C3d. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion against normal human serum, a single precipitin line is obtained and giving a reaction of full identity with the purified immunogen. Also reacts with fragments bearing common determinants: C3, C3b, C3bi. Does not react with any other proteins component of human serum or plasma. In supernatants of serum containing 10% polyethyleneglycol only a reaction with C3d has been obtained.
