The C2 component of human complement is a single-chain polypeptide with a molecular weight of 110000.
It is present in plasma in an average concentration of 25 μg/ml.
The activated form of C2 combines with the activated C4 to form a complex with C3-convertase activity in the classical pathway of complement activation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Radial Immunodiffusion.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul human plasma or equivalent in agarose plates.
Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul plasma samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
