Alpha-1 antitrypsin is a serine protease inhibitor.
It has a molecular weight of 54000, its meanconcentration in normal serum is 2.5mg/ml.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Radial Immunodiffusion.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity：Recognizes human alpha-1 antitrypsin. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), against fresh normal human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified alpha-1 antitrypsin. No reaction is obtained with any other plasma protein component or serum. Does not crossreact with any other component of human plasma.
