Albumin is a stable small polypeptide with a strong antigenicity.
Its molecular weight is about 69kD.
It has a high mobility in electrophoresis, shows macro-heterogeneity especially under pathological conditions and it can bind a large number of physiological and non-physiological molecules.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Single Radial Immunodiffusion and Double Radial Immunodiffusion.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunoelectrophoresis: 2ul serum, plasma or equivalent against 120ul antiserumDouble Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul antiserum in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameterperipheral wells
Single Radial Immunodiffusion: 0.5-1% in the agar gel
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
