LYAR (Ly-1/CD5 antibody reactive clone) is a 45-50kD nucleolar protein that was named for the ability of its antibody to cross-react with Ly-1.
Its function is unclear; it is known to associate with MYCN and RRP1B, the latter association giving rise to the suggestion that LYAR is involved with RNA metabolism.
Human LYAR is 379aa in length.
It contains two C2H2-type Zn finger regions (aa6-25, 33-51) followed by one coiled-coil region (aa175-219) and an NLS (aa217-222).
There are multiple Zn-binding sites and three utilized phosphorylation sites at aa244, aa258 and aa276.
Over aa288-379, human LYAR shares 75aa identity with mouse LYAR.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
