YMER is a 306aa soluble cytoplasmic protein associated with microtubules of the cytoskeleton and mitotic apparatus.
It has a coiled-coil domain and two motifs interacting with ubiquitin (MIUs).
In response to EGF signaling, YMER undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitination and is also involved in the negative regulation of the EGF receptor.
It has two isoforms, YMER-L and YMER-S, that are co-expressed in placenta, liver, lung, kidney and pancreas.
However, YMER-S, the dominant YMER isoform expressed in human cells, is an inhibitor of EGFR downregulation.
Defects in YMER leads to autosomal dominant non-syndromic sensorineural deafness type 44 (DFNA44).
YMER shows ubiquitous expression in most of the human tissues.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
