It contains 3 DRBM (double stranded RNA-binding) domains and plays an important role by binding to HIV-1 TAR RNA located in the long terminal repeat (LTR).
TRBP acts synergistic with viral TAT protein in HIV-1 expression activation.
It binds preferentially to TAR and other double-stranded RNAs with G+C-rich characteristics.
It is important in regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter and is widely expressed in most of the tissues.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 5-8ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5-10ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
