RAP2A is a signaling protein involved in small GTPase mediated signal transduction activated by guanine nucleotide-exchange factors (GEF) EPAC and EPAC2, in a cAMP-dependent manner, and GFR.
This membrane protein belongs to the small GTPase superfamily and Ras family and contains domains required for GTP binding and a Ras-like C-terminal motif for post-translational lipid binding and subsequent anchoring to the plasma membrane.
Apart from having a possible role in membrane shedding, RAP2A also functions as a slowly responding molecular switch in the RAP1A signaling cascade and also interacts with ARHGAP29, the putative specific effector of RAP2A.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
