• Latexin, or tissue carboxypeptidase inhibitor (TCI), is the only known mammalian carboxypeptidase inhibitor.
• It is often related to a human putative tumor suppressor protein, TIG1.
• Latexin was first identified as a marker of neurons in the lateral neocortex of the developing mammalian brain.
• Latexin plays a role in the modulation of sensory perception and also functions in inflammation and innate immune pathways.
• The protein also contributes to the pathological disorders acute pancreatitis and lung inflammation.
• Latexin is expressed in heart, prostate, ovary, kidney, pancreas, colon and brain.
• The human latexin gene is assigned to chromosomal region 3q25.32.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.

• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

• Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
