The G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR, GPR) superfamily is the largest known receptor family and is characterized by seven transmembrane domains.
GPCRs transduce a variety of extracellular signals such as photons, peptides, hormone proteins, neurotransmitters, amino acids, lipids, prostanoids, and odorants through heterotrimeric G-proteins.
GPR18 is a member of this family consisting of 331aa.
The human GPR18 gene is localized in the chromosomal region 13q32.3.
The protein has been reported to show moderate expression in brain, testis, ovary, and lung, high expression in lymphoid tissues such as spleen and thymus, and is involved in immune system regulation.
N-arachidonyl glycine acts as a natural ligand for the protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 3-6ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
