CD72, a human homolog of murine Lyb-2, is a 45kD B-cell transmembrane glycoprotein.
It is expressed in all stages of B-cell development except plasma cells and functions as a vital B-cell co-receptor.
It exhibits a dual role during B-cell activation and development.
It mediates positive signaling through activation of Grb2-Sos-Ras pathway resulting in activation of several downstream pathways including ERK and JNK pathways.
ITIM motif present in the cytoplasmic domain of CD72 recruits SHP-1 upon tyrosine phosphorylation, resulting in negative regulation of BCR signaling.
CD72 functions as a novel receptor for CD100/Sema4D, resulting in dephosphorylation of CD72 and regulation of negative signaling by CD72.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
