• ATG5L is a 275aa protein belonging to the ATG5 family and is required for autophagy.
• It plays an important role in the apoptotic process, within the modified cytoskeleton.
• It is known to function in autophagy, contributes to autophagic cell death by interacting with Fas-associated protein with death domain (FADD).
• It conjugates to ATG12 and associates with isolation membrane to form cup-shaped isolation membrane and autophagosome.
• Down-regulation of its expression in HeLa cells suppresses cell death and vacuole formation induced by IFN-gamma.
• It is highly expressed in apoptotic cells.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
