Neurotensin is one of two peptides expressed from a common precursor gene.
Neuromedin N being the other partner.
Neurotensin is a secreted tridecapeptide, which is widely distributed throughout the central nervous system, and may function as a neurotransmitter or a neuromodulator.
It may be involved in dopamine-associated pathophysiological events, in the maintenance of gut structure and function, and in the regulation of fat metabolism.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunofluorescence: 1:200Immunohistochemistry (PAP or ABC): 1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
