GDF8, also known as Myostatin, belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily.
It is synthesized as an inactive proprotein with the Nterminal proregion and the Cterminal mature bioactive region.
The GDF8 proregion is capable of associating with active GDF8 with high affinity and is a potent GDF8 antagonist.
Applications:Suiitable or use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): 5-15ug/ml using immersion fixed frozen sections of mouse embryo and mouse embryonic lung
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
