- The gene for tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 is localized on human chromosome arm 17q25.
- TIMP-2 abrogates angiogenic factor-induced endothelial cell proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo independent of MMP inhibition.
