Smad proteins have been implicated as downstream effectors of TGF beta/BMP signaling.
Smad1, Smad5, and Smad8 are effectors of BMP2 and BMP4 function while Smad2 and Smad3 are involved in TGF beta and activin mediated growth modulation.
Smad4 has been shown to mediate all of the above activities through interaction with various Smad family members.
Smad6 and Smad7 regulate the response to activin/TGF beta signaling by interfering with TGF beta mediated phosphorylation of other Smad family members.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot:1:500-1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
