Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a mammalian phagocyte hemoprotein thought to primarily mediate host defense reactions.
It is abundantly expressed in neutrophils and secreted during their activation.
Myeloperoxidase is part of the host defense system of human polymorphonuclear leukocytes,responsible for microbicidal activity against a wide range of organisms.
It is located in the nucleus as well as in the cytoplasm.
Intranuclear MPO may help to protect DNA against damage resulting from oxygen radicals produced during myeloid cell maturation and function.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (Formalin/Paraffin): 0.5-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
