lamin B is a structural component of the long-sought-after spindle matrix that promotes microtubule assembly and organization in mitosis.
Inspection of the deduced amino acid sequence of lamin B revealed the presence in coil 1B of the alpha-helical domain of a leucine heptad repeat region.Lamin B assembled into a matrix-like network in mitosis through a process that depended on the presence of the guanosine triphosphate-bound form of the small guanosine triphosphatase Ran.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
