- C Reactive Protein (CRP) is a major acute phase reactant synthesized primarily in the liver hepatocytes.
- It is composed of 5 identical, 21,500-molecular weight subunits.
- CRP mediates activities associated with preimmune nonspecific host resistance.
- CRP shows the strongest association with cardiovascular events.
- It is detectable on the surface of about 4% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes.
- Acute phase reactant CRP is produced in the liver.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
