• It is expressed in embryonic stem cells and multiple tumor cell types.
• PRDM14 likely demonstrates histone methyltransferase activity, serving as a transcriptional repressor.
• It is suggested to block cell differentiation and maintain cell self-renewal, but also be necessary for germ cell lineage commitment.
• Human PRDM14 is 571aa in length.
• It contains one SET domain (aa253-371) followed by six C2H2 type Zn finger motifs (aa400-568).
• Over aa1-201, human PRDM14 shares only 46% aa identity with mouse PRDM14.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
