Tenascin is a hexameric extracellular matrix protein.
Tenascin may have a role in guiding migrating neurons as well as axons during development, synaptic plasticity as well as neuronal regeneration.
In the embryo, Tenascin is found in developing epithelia, cartilage and bone.
In the adult, Tenascin is found in smooth muscle, tendon and hyper-proliferative skin.
At least 6 isoforms of human Tenascin are produced by alternative splicing.
Applications:Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA: 1:8000 (Antibody detection limit dilution)Western Blot: Preliminary experiments in human skeletal muscle, placenta and uterus lysates gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1ug/ml)

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
