The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the src family kinases.
This protein is similar to the src kinase associated phosphoprotein 1.
It is an adaptor protein that is thought to play an essential role in the src signaling pathway in various cells.
It inhibits PTK2B/RAFTK activity and regulates alpha-synuclein phosphorylation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml ~38kD band observed in lysates of cell line Jurkat (calculated MW of 41.2kD according to NP_003921.2).
In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing SKAP2 a band of approx.
45kD is observed.
This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
