• This gene encodes a member of the SH2B adaptor family of proteins, which are involved in a range of signaling activities by growth factor and cytokine receptors.
• The encoded protein is a key negative regulator of cytokine signaling and plays a critical role in hematopoiesis.
• Mutations in this gene have been associated with susceptibility to celiac disease type 13 and susceptibility to insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:64,000Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml detects ~70kD band observed in lysates of cell line MOLT4 (calculated MW of 63.2kD according to NP_005466.1).
• In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing SH2B3 a band of approx.
• 65kD is observed.
• This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
