Bone morphogenetic proteins (e.g., BMP9; MIM 605120) are members of the transforming growth factor-beta (see TGFB1; MIM 190180) superfamily and regulate tissue differentiation and maintenance.
They are synthesized as precursor molecules that are processed at a dibasic cleavage site to release C-terminal domains containing a characteristic motif of 7 conserved cysteines in the mature protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA: 1:2000Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml detects ~35kD band observed in human prostate lysates (calculated MW of 34.1kD according to NP_004855.1).
In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing GDF15 a band of ~35kD is observed.
This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
