- Microtubule-associated protein 4 (MAP4) is a ubiquitous non-neuronal microtubule-associated protein.
- This protein binds, polymerizes, and stabilizes microtubules and is thought to regulate microtubule dynamics during the cell cycle.
- p34cdc2 kinase phosphorylation of MAP4 appears to regulate the control of microtubule reorganization at mitosis (Ookata, 1997).
- Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.

- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detected MAP4 in 10ug of HeLa cell lysate
- Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 detected MAP4 in HeLa, NIH/3T3, and A431 cells
- Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Positive Control:Hela cell lysate
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
