SCAP is a protein with a sterol sensing domain(SSD) and seven WD domains.
In the presence of cholesterol, this protein binds to sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) and mediates their transport from the ER to the Golgi.
The SREBPs are then proteolytically cleaved and regulate sterol biosynthesis.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Indirect Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:25Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100Immunofluorescence: 1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
