IGFBP4 has an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain.
The protein binds both insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) I and II and circulates in the plasma in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated forms.
Binding of this protein prolongs the half-life of the IGFs and alters their interaction with cell surface receptors.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Indirect Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1:2000Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1;25Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
