DSC1 is a calcium-dependent glycoprotein that is a member of the desmocollin subfamily of the cadherin superfamily.
These desmosomal family members, along with the desmogleins, are found primarily in epithelial cells where they constitute the adhesive proteins of the desmosome cell-cell junction and are required for cell adhesion and desmosome formation.
The desmosomal family members are arranged in two clusters on chromosome 18, occupying less than 650 kb combined.
Applications:Suitable for use in Indirect Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications have not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
