- Thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction.
- It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin.
- The interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity (By similarity).
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:50-1:100Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
