- This protein appears to activate the transcription of growth-related genes.
- Overexpression of MYC is implicated in the etiology of a variety of hematopoietic tumors.
- A chromosomal aberration involving MYC may be a cause of a form of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
