MCP-1 is a member of the CC subfamily of chemokines.
MCP-1 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine which acts both as an activation factor for monocytes and as chemokine for monocytic cells.
The antibody inhibits the biological activity of natural and recombinant human MCP-1.
