• The kappa immunoglobulin light chain comprises ~60% of light chains in humans.
• Immunohistochemical detection of immunoglobulins is useful in determining the lymphoid origin of tissues and in the assessment of lymphoid proliferations as reactive or malignant.
• The assessment of light chain status is particularly important in this regard as it may be used to demonstrate the clonal nature of a tumor.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, Paraffin): 1:10-1:40.
• Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Positive Control:Placenta
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
