Type V collagen is a minor component of the connective tissue, although it is present in many different types of connective tissue.
Patients with defects in the type V collagen (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) have weakend connective tissue characterized by hyperstrechable joints and fragile, easily bruisable skin.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Dot Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:20 if Peroxidasae labeled secondary is used.
If FITC is used dilute 1:10.
Not tested on paraffin
ELISA: Native human collagen VDot Blot: Native human collagen VOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
