• GLUT-8 is a glucose transporter facilitated by the regulation of insulin, binding cytochalasin B such that the orientation is glucose-inhibitive.
• In appearance, the transporter seems to be a dual-specific sugar transporter since fructose can also be inhibitive.
• GLUT-8 is expressed largely in the testis, where down-regulation is facilitated by estrogen.
• However, GLUT-8 is not highly expressed in testicular carcinoma.
• Lower levels of GLUT-8 are present in most other tissues.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100.
• Heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER) by heating in citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Recommended Positive Control:Human kidney tissue
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
