• The siglecs are a family of membrane bound lectins (of the immunoglobulin superfamily) that bind sialic acid and mediate cell-cell interactions.
• Family members include sialoadhesin, CD22 and CD33.
• Sialoadhesin is a macrophage-specific cell adhesion molecule that is expressed on activated macrophages in chronic inflammation and in tumors.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA an Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:ELISA (direct): 0.5-1.0ug/ml
• Western Blot: 1.0ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
• Stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• Reconstitute by adding sterile buffer.
• Aliquot and store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
