• This heterodimer forms a Na+ independent amino acid transport system which leads to the uptake of extracellular L-cystine in conjunction to L-glutamate efflux.
• This system is thought to play an important role in the protection of neurons and activated macrophages against oxidative stress.
• Solute Carrier Family 7 is the receptor which mediates Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV) cell fusion.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 20-30ug/mlRequires antigen retrieval using heat treatment for 20 minutes prior to staining of paraffin sections.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Positive Control Tissue:Neurons or astrocytes
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
