Melanophilin is a member of the exophilin subfamily of Rab effector proteins.
It forms a ternary complex with the small Ras-related GTPase Rab27A in its GTP-bound form and the motor protein myosin Va.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
