CD107a, otherwise known as LAMP-1 (lysosome-associated membrane protein-1), is a 100-120kD type I integral lysosomal membrane glycoprotein and member of the LAMP family, which transfers between lysosomes, phagosomes and the plasma membrane, and may play a role in lysosomal membrane protection and in lectin-mediated cell adhesion.
Studies have linked enhanced CD107a expression with the metastatic potential of some tumor cells, and with neurons and glial cells surrounding plaques in Alzheimer’s patients.
CD107a may also serve as a marker of mast cell activation.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 10ug/mlWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control Tissue:HepG2 cells
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
