• This product is an ornithine (urea) cycle enzyme which catalyzes the penultimate step of the arginine biosynthetic pathway.
• Defects in ASS1 genes are responsible for the autosomal recessive disease known as citrullinemia type 1 (CTLN1), characterized by increased levels of urine and serum citrulline and ammonia intoxication.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.01-0.03ug/ml.
• Detects a band at ~45kD in human kidney cell lysates
• ELISA: 1:64,000Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2-4ug/ml.
• Requires antigen retrival using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
• Citrated buffer pH 6.0 is recommened
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Histology Positive Control:Human Kidney
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
